Later, you will pass by Beiguan Tidal Park in Yilan, offering stunning sea views, unique rock formations, and powerful waves, perfect for nature lovers. And of course, you can’t miss the local temple, Guoling Ji’an in Yilan.
Hot Springs & Night Bites
Finally, you will arrive in Yilan where you might get the chance to unwind in a relaxing hot spring, thanks to the area’s rich natural resources. Still have energy? Don’t miss the local night market, full of tasty treats and lively atmosphere to end your day on a high note.

Enter the East Coast
Continue your journey in the eastern side of Taiwan. Cycling on Suhua Highway, a major route that connects the eastern and western parts of Taiwan.
Cycling Toward Taroko
Cycling along coastal roads toward Hualien county, you will ride past the breathtaking Ching-shui Cliff before reaching the iconic Taroko Arch at the eastern entrance of Taroko Gorge.
Riding the Coastline to Qixingtan
Next, you will bike to Qixingtan, a scenic coastal gem known for its pebbled beach and crystal-clear waters. This stretch offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, a perfect end for your day.

DAY 8
Head to South
After a night in Hualien City, head south to Danongdafu Forest Park. Cycle through flower fields and tall trees, surrounded by mountains, a peaceful escape into nature.
Xiuguluan River
On the way, we will pass by the winding Xiuguluan River, famous for rafting, but just as breathtaking when admired from the road. It cuts through lush valleys and rugged cliffs, quietly reminding us that the best routes are the ones shaped by nature over time.
A Hidden Gem Hot Spring
Today’s goal is Antong Hot Spring, a quiet mountain town with rich history from the Japanese era. Surrounded by forests and rice paddies, it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a day of cycling.

Cycle Taiwan’s east coast and collect cliffside views, local legends, and seaside sounds, all in one unforgettable ride.
Where Cliffs Meet the Sea
As you leave the hills behind, the road curves gently toward the Pacific Ocean. Follow the coastal highway through Changbin, where cliffs drop into deep blue ocean.
Arches Over the Sea
Further south, explore the iconic Sanxiantai, known for striking eight-arch bridge over the ocean. The island is steeped in local legend and features unique volcanic rock formations and beautiful coastal scenery, perfect for a quick detour and photos.
